Amy Ryan Pregnant with a Knowing Smile
Amy Ryan, is expecting her first child with her fiancé Eric Slovin who’s a comedy writer. The 39 year old actress is due in October, her rep has confirmed.
The newly pregnant actress is most known recently for her role on the television show The Office as Holly Flax, the human resources staff member and also as Michael’s sometimes love-interest. We wonder if they’re going to work the celebrity pregnancy into her character’s life and into the plot of The Office.
Amy Ryan was born in New York City’s Queens borough and grew up with her sister delivering the Daily News by bike during the 1970′s.
She later started to attend the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center in upstate New York. At 17, she graduated from New York’s High School of Performing Arts then she got hired for the National Tour of Biloxi Blues immediately after graduating high school. Amy Ryan the continued her performing career by working steadily Off-Broadway for the next decade. She also worked in regional theater, where she originated roles in new plays by Neil LaBute, Arthur Miller and Neil Simon.
She was also nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actress in Gone Baby Gone. Eric is mainly known for writting on the hit television show Saturday Night Live. You can see Amy Ryan’s funny side in the clip below from The Office.
