The former Alaska governor tells Barbara Walters that when her 17-year-old daughter told her that she was pregnant she “was shocked”. Sarah added, “Truthfully, we were devastated”. Bristol, who’s now 18 years old and her now ex-boyfriend Levi, 19, welcomed their son Tripp in December 2008. However after a short and conveniently timed engagement, they decided to end their relationship.
Tripp’s father, Levi, recently posed for Playgirl magazine and plans to file for joint custody since according to him, the Palin’s make it difficult for him to spend time with Tripp. This doesn’t sound to family values like of the Sarah Palin.
Sarah shared in an interview with Oprah that Levi is still “part of the family” and she has extended an offer for him to spend this Thanksgiving with them on the show somewhat.
“It’s lovely to think that he would ever even consider such a thing…Because, of course, you want — he is a part of the family and you want to bring him in the fold and kind of under your wing. And he needs that, too, Oprah. I think he needs to know that he is loved and he has the most beautiful child and this can all work out for good. It really can.”
Well, we wish the Sarah Palin the best with her family problems! It’s tough when you talk about family values and your own family doesn’t follow your lead!
